FAQ
- Q: How do your property prices compare to those I’d get from an estate agent?
- A: We will offer you a discounted price for your property compared to top market value, however, this will be a fair price based on local property market valuations. The amount offered depends on a number of different factors including the type and location of the property.
You may well get a higher price on the open market, but you have no guarantee of a fast sale, you will also have additional costs such as estate agents commission, valuation and legal fees, it could also take months to complete, and there will be no discretion or confidentiality about your property sale.
- Q: How long will it take to sell my property?
- A: If necessary we can exchange in 24hrs, the time frame is up to you.
- Q: How quickly can I get the money from the sale?
- A: Your solicitor will release the money as soon as the transaction is completed.
- Q: Do I have to get a home information pack (HIP)?
- A: No, when you sell to Abbey Homebuyers it is classed as a private sale so no HIP is necessary.
- Q: What if I don’t have a solicitor?
- A: Use our completely independent recommended solicitor, and we will pay all the legal fees. If you choose to use your own solicitor, we will pay £500 towards their fees.
- Q: Will anybody know I am selling my property?
- A: No, it’s all confidential. No for sale boards, no public viewings, nobody will know about your sale.
- Q: If we are being repossessed and we have chosen to sell our home to you, do we need to tell the people who are repossessing us?
- A: You don’t have to do anything. The solicitor will talk to them and arrange for their loan to be paid.
- Q: Do I have to accept your offer straight away?
- A: Our offer is valid for 14 days. The terms of the offer may be subject to review if you wish to go ahead after this period.
- Q: What sort of properties do you buy?
- A: We buy all types of property:
- Flats.
- Maisonettes.
- Terraced houses.
- Semi-detached houses.
- Properties with sitting tenants.
- Ex-Local Authority Houses and Flats
- Fire damaged property.
- Property in need of refurbishment.
- Even property that has been on the market for a long time.
- Q: Does the property need to be in good condition?
- A: No. We will consider properties that need improvement, which is why they are often harder to sell through Estate Agents.
- Q: Do you buy properties with sitting tenants?
- A: Yes.

- A: Yes, call 07711 603 148 now in total confidence for a no-obligation quote and find out how Abbey Home Buyers can help you.
